In October of 2007 my wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to take a small vacation to Ireland. We were given such a good deal we just couldn`t pass it up and I was convinced I could this without breaking the bank. We were staying at a timeshare on the Renvyle House property, using it as a home base. On the day we set out to drive the Ring of Kerry we decided to find a hotel in Killarney ,because, 1) its at the beginning and end of the Ring, 2) we were up early and its a long drive and you would spend almost as much in fuel cost as you would to pay for a nights stay , 3) driving through Limerick in any type of rush, morning or noon isn`t fun and, 4) we wanted to go on to Blarney Castle and The Rock of Cashel.
