The Fairview may be a pretty property but service is hard to find. Room noisey and small. Next to a youth hostel and pub. This is a really nice place to stay in Killarney. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. They offer a good variety of breakfast, compared with the traditional greasy spoon everywhere else. At night was impossible to sleep because there is a place beside the roons windows where they wash dishes till 02:00 a.m and begins at 05:30 a.m. I complain, they didn´t make nothing. Stayed her for one night only on a trip around Ireland, we thought it was more of a small hotel than a guest house! My wife booked this hotel (guest house makes it sound shabby) for St Patricks day. I didn't read any reviews till we got back. I'm surprised it is getting bad press. The staff were loveley, the room & general decor was great, good beds nice big TV and a modern clean bathroom. what more do you want from a hotel?... more

Agreed: Location, great. Price was reasonable, etc. but be very careful if they offer you their "B and B" which is apparently, just their house down the street with what appears to be one guest room (maybe 2?).
