We had a most enjoyable stay at the Crab Tree Cottage in Muckross. We were a family of eight and were put in the Stag's Glen self-catering house behind the Crab Tree Cottage. Where to begin... first of all the grounds were beautiful, and the location was really terrific in terms of hiking, Muckross House, etc. But the stay itself left much to be desired. Breakfast was great, the conservatory style dining area is amazing and Lily's gardens are absolutely gorgeous. She makes you think anything and I mean ANYTHING can be grown in Ireland. The Muckcross House and Abbey are just a stone's throw away from the B&B which makes it a perfect base-camp for touring around Killarney without having to deal with a... more

My husband and I just returned from Ireland, and Crab Tree B&B was our favorite B&B. You won't find a better location. It's on Mangerton Road, which is right next to Killarney National Park and Muckross House. It probably takes 5 minutes to walk from the B&B to the park, and only takes about 1 minute to drive there.
