I stayed in Arus Antoine with a friend for a weekend in early August 2005. Having stayed in many B&Bs around Ireland I was very disappointed with the standard of this B&B. The room consisted of a double and single bed (fine, as a twin room was requested), a wardrobe and dressing table that appeared to have been salvaged from a skip, a portable tv located over the head of the single bed, the only window in the room was a velux/skylight, a windowless ensuite with a rickety fan that sounded like a chainsaw, a door with a glass pane above it where the hall light shone in all night. The irish breakfast was extremely greasy - the standard I have become accustomed to in other irish b&bs are grilled breakfasts, this clearly was not the case here. However, the homemade bread was very good. To cap it all, we were overcharged for our stay.
