Warm and freindly host greeted us and showed us to our ample sized room with an amazing view. Then after a brief tour took the time to answer all of our questions about the island and things to do in the area. In addition to the view, our room was bright, cheery and spotless. The decor was simple and home... more

An idyllic place with a great view over the water to the ruined castle. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the homecooked dinner and lovely breakfast. We took our own beer/wine to have with dinner and this is recommended as you need a car to get to the nearest pub! more

We felt welcome the minute Garrett and Tricia opened the door and introduced themselves. The accomodations were so comfortable. The rooms were bright and airy. The room came with breakfast and dinner. Tricia is a fabulous cook. The food was plentiful and delicious! You never go hungry. The grounds were gorgeous with a view of the Castle. It was so... more

Well I have to say that I was quiet dissapointed with my stay at this B&B. I would expect more up to date facilities from a 'Bord Failte approved' B&B. The decor was 80's drab style with alot of diy in evidence - faded curtains that didn't keep the light out. I would have liked to make a cuppa in... more

We had a great time in this lovely friend B & B with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent both Gareth and Patricia were very helpful and accommodating. You do need a car to get around in this area of Ireland. If you want a relaxing and beautifully located place to stay we would recommend this B... more

It was a great two nights. There was 6 of us that stayed and the accommodations were outstanding. I have read that people didn't like not having a coffee maker in the rooms, but we had access to the kitchen and Pat and Garrett got anything that we wanted. They fixed us breakfast one morning earlier than the scheduled time... more

We enjoyed our stay the rooms were standard enough and was quiet disapointed that for a Bord Failte accomadation there was no tea/coffee making facilites in the rooms or a television.. The Breakfast was excellent though more

We stayed at the Castle View B & B for one night as a stop on our driving trip around Ireland. The area was rural, very beautful and so nice and quiet. We had a nice home cooked meal and took a walk across the bridge to explore the abandoned, ruined abbey. The owners' dog Odie adopted us (due to... more
