Awoke in the night with water pouring down walls, from the light sockets, carpet soaked. Upstairs there was no roof, plaster hanging from ceiling and walls. No staff and no surprise. Abandoned the place. Gardai say they cannot close the place. Bord Failte can do nothing. Spread the word: Do not stay here. more

Hospitality was non-existant at this B&B, the non-Irish man on the front desk couldn't even tell us if it was ok to park on the street outside overnight. He was unbelievably unhelpful. We paid 70 euro for a double room - at this price I am sure we could have got a 2 or 3 star hotel in the area... more

Stayed at this place with a group of 18 students and one other faculty member. Someone rang the doorbell on and off for what seemed about an hour at 4:00 AM. One of our groups did not lock their bedroom door and a drunk entered their room during the night. The staff has considerable difficulty with English so any problems... more

I have travelled a good deal in Europe and I realize that by staying in a budget accomodation you cannot expect too much. I normally would not have written a review however I feel that if this can help someone make up their minds about not staying at Ashe TownHouse, it's worthwhile. In a nutshell, this is a nice Georgian... more

The Ashe Townhouse is advertised as a guesthouse, yet it falls exceedingly short of the standards one would expect for this type of accomodation and price range. For one thing, the proprietor does not live on the grounds, and anytime I was in need of speaking to or being assisted by the receptionist, I waited anywhere from 15-60+ minutes for... more

Waited half an hour for a receptionist to check in. Sugar and used cotton wool pad on bedside cabinet. Crumbs on one bed and chewing gum on the others duvet cover. Cracked window pane and filthy back yard strewn with rubbish as our view Decided enough was enough and went to ask for a refund however my request was denied... more

There was a notice in the room saying breakfast was over at 10am. We were never asked what time we would like breakfast and when we went down at 9:45 the woman refused us breakfast saying that it was nearly 10. We had already paid the night before, the showers were cold too so we couldn't shower, so we basically... more

First thing’s first. If at all possible do not stay in this bed and breakfast. I was booked into Ashe Townhouse with other friends whilst attending a wedding in Tralee whilst over in Ireland from England. Unfortunately, despite being a frequent traveller and virtually always using Trip Advisor to research hotels before I book them, I only opted to look... more

This guesthouse is terrible. On no account should anybody contemplate staying here. The water was cold so no showers could be had (other reviews here show that this is a common problem). When we compalined about this we were vaguely told it was going to be fixed. The room smelled of a combination of mould and bleach, so the lack... more
