Throughout our stay the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. However the sound insulation is very bad, I could constantly hear doors banging the whole time. While the hotel itself is fine and the kids club is great, I was misled by the receptionist on the cost. Most hotels charge €40 for a kids club which includes their dinner. Not so at the Hotel Kilkenny, be careful when they say “they will get their dinner at 5.30” and omit to say that the dinner is extra... more

The foyer is deceiving, unless you get the whiffs of bleach and sprays constantly used in the bar. Impossible to get food at 10 o' clock and even more impossible if you are gluten free!! The rooms are faded, smell of smoke, although large. The flashing red phone light to apparently alert you "the phone is operating" is annoying. Not... more
