To be frank it was the worst experience in any hotel I have ever stayed in. Being well travelled and I may add I have never even put a review on a site, I was so disappointed even when I rang to complain no one addressed my issues for several weeks. It was only when I kept ringing and asked... more

Now, as the title says I liked this hotel. Looking at the other reviews not everyone does. It's quite big, so not the individual service you may get in some Irish hotels, but the staff were very good. The building itself is fabulous, being the old Hibernian Bank. A really beautiful bar area, high ceilings, comfy leather seating, gentle atmosphere,... more

We stayed two nights here; the hotel was spotless, the rooms so comfortable and great staff. Restaurant is highly recommended (which is unusual for a hotel). There were a couple of points which would detract from an otherwise high score. They are: - No tea making facilities - No free WiFi (a norm these days) - Noisy room. Yes, we... more

Our room was over a street with a nightclub on it. I didn't sleep a wink and neither did my family until 3-4 am when things quietened down outside. Price for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers aged 13 and 15 for 1 night bordered on 400 euro. This is far far too much for a hotel of such... more

I stayed in the 4 star Hibernian Hotel for a week July 13-19 2009. When booking I explained I was taking my mother in law in her 90th year, on a break and specifically requested a quiet room and a lift. I called the night porter at 02.30 on the first night complaining of a loud droning noise, he was... more

My wife and I just returned from 10 days in Ireland, during which we stayed at a variety of small hotels, Inns and B&Bs. The Hibernian Hotel was one of the lowest priced hotels from our trip, but also our favorite. The hotel decor is great - very stylish, and well kept. The main thing that impressed us was the... more

This was our third hotel (kudos to Josh-son-in-law who found it) Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny back to Dublin. This was the third of four fabulous hotels. Kilkenny was the most walkable town. Lot's of little stores to stop into plus a very nice mini-mall. Don't miss Penney's (not JC Penney). Also there is a $2 Euro shop for incidentals and munchies... more

Unfortunately we only spent one night here. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite and it was just wonderful! The room was very comfortable and home like. The bathroom was huge! Breakfast in the morning was great! The staff here were very helpfu! more

have stayed here on a number of nights. Every experience is great, rooms really good and big, comfortable and a really good sleep away from home. Lovely staff and great food, super location "in the middle of it all", but really an oasis. Super managment and really good service more
