We spent one night here while visiting Kilkenny. It's in the perfect location and not hard to find. The room was average sized and had a hot pot and tea and cookies. Breakfast was very complete and we both had the Irish breakfast, which was delicious! It is served in a very beautiful room with a lot of antiques. It... more

This was without a doubt the best bed and breakfast we stayed at during our trip to Ireland. We just adore Mrs. O'Reilly. It was perfectly located, 5 minutes stroll to town. We also enjoyed exploring the grounds of the castle which is literally across the street. You MUST stay here! more

Great location, spotlessly clean, and very gracious hostess. During our three-day stay, we had excellent breakfasts, a very comfortable room (bed was very good), and a pleasant sitting room. With only a short walk to town, this was a great place to stay. We were asked on one night if we could park our car in a way that would... more

This B & B is almost perfect in every way. The rooms are beautifully furnished and large, extremely clean, and have a t.v. too. There is car parking next to the house and the breakfasts are good and large. Mrs. Reilly is very organized and helpful in all aspects. They are situated right next to the backside of the castle... more

We only spent one night, but were very grateful for the warm welcome we received. We have 2 young kids, and the family room is just perfect. The breakfast was wonderful, the location is great(5 min walk to the castle). What more could you ask? more

By far our favorite B&B we stayed out while in Ireland for 8 days. I inquired about a room via email and Mrs. Josphine O'reilly promptly answered all my questions. Mrs. O'Reilly really made us feel comfortable, at ease, and welcomed. She was a beacon of information and a perfect host. Our room was a double ensuite and it was... more

We only stayed one night at Carriglea but would love to have stayed longer. We felt very welcome and the hostess was lovely and chatty and helped us with directions to the main tourist attractions. The B & B is in a really good spot close to the castle and restaurants. The room we stayed in was nice and clean... more

We stayed here for three nights. It is on a side street across from the park of Kilkenny castle and so is quite quiet. We walked to the castle, and the town -- just minutes away. This was a good thing since we never wanted to get in our car again after the drive from Dublin via Powerscourt Estate and... more

Convenient on site parking, and a charming example of double fronted villa. Very friendly hosts, approachable and kind. Location easy walking into town, but away from hustle and bustle. Would benefit from double glazing, and we were unlucky enough to have a night during a sharp and unseasonal cold 'snap'. We were cold. Even with electric blanket. Shower room arctic.... more
