I stayed here two nights. I had originally requested a room with two twin beds. When we arrived, we were given a room with a twin and queen instead that had a much nicer view. That was a pleasant surprise. Our host, Josephine, was very friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The room was clean and the breakfast was... More

Just spent two nights there and loved the room. The house has tons of character and owner is a delight to chat with. Breakfast was delicious and owner is very accomodating. Extremely clsecwalk to town, less than 5 min. Would definitely recommend.

We were staying for two nights with three persons in this very nice house in Kilkenny. It was beginning of April and unusually cold. So we loved to sit in the evening in the living room, where a cosy fire place was prepared by the owner. The whole house is furnished in a charming old style - on our trip... More

We loved our stay at Carriglea - our hostess Josephine was delightful, room was large and comfortable, good location near Kilkenny Castle and City Centre, but quiet neighborhood location. Breakfast was very good.

My husband and I flew into Dublin and stayed in Kilkenny on our first night at Carriglea B&B. The innkeeper, Josephine, couldn't have been sweeter or more accommodating! Our room was lovely, and it is just walking distance to the castle and to the center of Kilkenny. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful, and I can't immagine spending our first day/night... More

Josephine greeted us @ the door. Carriglea is a lovely B&B in Kilkenny (close enough to walk to town, far enough away for quiet). It is across the street from the grounds of Kilkenny Castle). We stayed in a Victorian-themed room on the 2nd floor (himself and me). The room was spotless, a great deal of attention to detail (e.g.... More

Carriglea is only a couple of blocks from the Kilkenny Castle and the center of town. A wonderful location when exploring the town and surrounds. The house is a beautiful old home, well-maintained, with beautiful ivy growing across the front. The room was very large by Irish standards, a double and twin bed, a small sitting area in a bay... We were privileged to be guests at Carriglea B & B for two nights on our recent Ireland trip. Josephine and her husband are wonderful hosts. The location is excellent with handy access to walking downtown. The beautiful Kilkenny Castle and the park for running, walking or just relaxing is a few minutes walk. The room was quiet at night... We had an exquisite room with a good en-suite bathroom. The B&B is wonderfully furnitured and run by a very friendly and helpful host, who served us great full Irish breakfast and pancakes. It is ideally located in a quiet street just beside the castle green of Kilkenny!

Josephine is so wonderful and helpful. We had a delicious dinner in Kilkenny per her recommendation. She was very accommodating and sweet. Breakfast was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. The location is perfect. Really close to the Kilkenny castle and the town center, less than a five minute walk.
