We had a lovely time at this B and B and found it to be the nicest place we stayed on our whole trip.We originally booked in for only one night but our B and B in Dublin (Clifden House) was so nasty and in a terrible part of town that we called Helen asking to let us stay an... more

Helen was a warm and welcoming woman and her B&B was lovely. It was a great place to stay - comfortable bed and very clean. It was a little bit of a walk to the center of town but well worth it. more

Helen and Tony made our two nights in Southeast Ireland some of the best of our entire stay in Ireland. Their B&B is a good central location for tours around Kilkenny and the South and East of Ireland. Helen and Tony gave us great ideas for dining in historic, yet reasonable restaurants. They told us about the Irish music and... more

Helen was an absolute delight. She was so cheerful during our entire stay, also very helpful with ideas of what to see/do on the way to our next stop. It's a bit of a trek from the Dunboy to the main part of Kilkenny. Not a big deal the first trip in, but was kind of a hassle after a... more

Without a doubt the best B&B we stayed at during our 13 day trip to Ireland. Tony & Helen make a great effort to have their guests know they are welcomed and actually enjoyed. you never feel like you are an inconvinience. they take the time during the off season to prepare a book of brochures and maps so the... more

We enjoyed staying at Dunboy B&B for three days and passed a good time. The Irish breakfast gave us the energy we needed for our day-trips. The handmade city-map showed us every good location in Kilkenny. Helens tipps were very useful and helped us to find the best restaurants and places to visit. Tee and coffee all day long in... more

We just can't say enough great about this B & B. The proprietor Helen is charming, informative, most gracious and truly kind. She is a real gem and emerald in Ireland's crown. She knows what the traveler wants and provides it generously. The morning breakfast is supurb and exceeds expectations. Best of all, the location of this B & B... more

We decided to go to Ireland for our vacation and wanted to stay only at B&B's. We had never stayed at B&B's before and didn't know what to expect. Our overnight flight was long and we didn't sleep like we expected. We got lost on the way to Kilkenny (probably from lack of sleep and learning to drive in Dublin)... more

We have just returned from a few days at Dunboy. Although we had heard about the friendliness of the Irish people, Helen and Tony our Hosts at Dunboy took this to a new level! The rooms were spotless and breakfast wonderful, especially the scones. Parking is easy and location is literally 2 minutes by car from the centre. Helen took... more

My wife and I had a great stay at Dunboy. Helen and Tony are great hosts with plenty of information about the area and restaurants. The location is a little drive from the city center, but it was easy to find and had parking available. Our room was very nice and cozy. Breakfast was wonderful. We would recommend staying at... more
