I stayed in this Bed and Breakfast during the Cat Laughs comedy festival during the June Bank holiday. The location is fantastic, just off the main street in Kilkenny and within walking distance of all the pubs/clubs/shopping. However, the B&B is a shambles. Our room was very musty and old fashioned and the bathroom was tiny. I hardly fit into... more

Back in august 2008, I booked 2 rooms for one night and got an email of a reservation confirmed on sat 1st November 2008. 2 Days before our stay, the O'Malleys Guesthouse management rang to notify me that my rooms will not be available because they gave them up to a group that will stay 2 nights instead of one.... more

having both stayed and worked at o'mallys guesthouse i am appaled that people have not enjoyed their stay as i know the owners will be. all rooms are cleaned extremely well and all towels are replaced with fresh ones.unfortunatly kilkenny is a lively busy town with a great nightlife some noise should be expected. The staying rate is very competetive... more

3 houses joined together. Musty smell in the bedrooms, musty and bad smell in bathroom. I am not a picky person and normally am happy with the basics but this wasn't just basic. It smelt bad and there was no hot water the next day in the afternoon. It took more than an hour to heat up and then it... more

I stayed at O Malleys with my friend for two nights and I have to say it was a really nice experience. The rooms were clean and warm and the bedswere really comfortable. There are power showers in the bathrooms and plenty of hot water. The two girls who run the place could not have done more for us. They... more

Very central location but poor value for money. Thin walls, lots of noise at night. Shower didn't work properly, soap holders broken off the walls, a couple of light fittings hanging off the walls too. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted ok. All in all, this place is of hostel standard, charging B&B rates. A poor choice. more

This B&B was the first one on our drive through the Irish countryside and we were completely happy with it. It was a small, clean room with a clean bathroom and a private parking space for our car. It wasn't a luxury B&B, but it was completely fine for the one night we stayed there. The hostess was very nice... more
