We were given a family room despite only booking a double. The room was in the new wing and it was large, clean with good decor. We cannot fault the room. There are two large bars and a restaurant within the complex. We spent time in both bars and the staff were excellent, the new super-bar has the best outside... more

I love staying in the Kilford. I have stayed there several times through the years and it is always a wonderful experience. The location is brilliant - so close to everything. I have stayed in the Kilford several times and cannot fault the hotel for its service, location or friendly staff. Location is right in the center of the city and the bar in the hotel is amazing. Have to say that this about my third or fourth visit to Kilkenny and each time I find the Kilford an ideal hotel to serve my purposes be they work or pleasure, midweek or weekend. The hotel was deceivingly big on the inside. It was a bit confusing to find the room and the number of stairs...be prepared to haul your luggage up and down!
