Rosie is a wonderful hostess and very accommodating. The location is just across from a soccer field and we were treated to a game in the evening. Easy walk to restaurants and pubs. We had a devil of a time getting out of Kilkenny though. The country roads all seemed to lead back to themselves! more

Very nice and clean B&B. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Coffee and cookies upon arrival. Quick walk to all town attractions. Credit card machine was "broken." more

Rosie is just lovely! She is very helpful and welcoming- it felt like I was going to stay with an old friend! My mom and I stayed here only one night during our week-long holiday in Ireland, and we would DEFINITELY return. It was a great location, just off the main street in Kilkenny, so it was very quiet (except... more

Even before our arrival in Ireland Rosie was in contact with me. She even offered to pick us up from the train station, which was a big help since the station is on the opposite side of town. Everyone was friendly and Rosie especially took the time to make sure that we were comfortable in our room. The room was... more

Fabulous Beds and Huge Family Room! If in KilKenny with a Family - stay HERE! Rosie was a great host - thanks for the great breakfast as well! Easy to find. We were only in town one night to see the Kilkenny Trad Trail - don't miss that if possible! more

This is more a small boutique hotel than a B&B. It has a smart modern feel and about 12 rooms (I think). I think we had the family room because it was huge! Breakfast was great and there were many cereal etc options if you are tired of the full Irish version. The hostess was very helpful and we were... more

This was a college graduation trip for my daughter and our family stayed there one night and if I had to do it again it would have been many more! After a long flight and a long day of sightseeing we checked into Abbeylodge and Rosie seemed to be waiting at the door for us. She welcomed us in, ushered... more

This was a terrific BB. Another reviewer summed it up perfectly when they said it was a cross between a boutique hotel and a BB; taking the best from each. The location was perfect with free parking and a short walk to the town. The owner, Rosie, was a fabulous host and provided us with great maps and directions and... more

Where to start?? We were in Kilkenny for three nights and stayed with Rosie at the Abbeylodge B and B. After a long transatlantic-flight, Rosie picked us up at the train station and took care of us from that moment until we boarded the train four days later. The rooms are sparkling clean with comfortable beds and lots of room!... more
