Nothing wrong with this hotel, but somehow seeing the photos you expect more. It is set back from the road and is part of a busy Country Club, There seems to be an old part and a new part. I stayed in the new wing and the room was very good. Breakfast was good but there was no open restaurant... more

There are two parts to the hotel - an old one with timber windows with paint peeling off and a new one. We stayed in the old part where the windows are old fashioned push up sash windows and are difficult to open. Very dangerous if any toddlers crawling around the floor. When we entered our room there was an... more

We stayed one night in Drogheda on our way around Ireland and since we have 5 in our family did appreciate the family room which did have one double and 3 singles. However, the hotel reminds you of an old B&B. It has no AC, no lift and we were on the top floor- so lots of stairs with our... more

Hotel was old fashioned but nice. The leisure facilities were lovely and tennis courts perfect. Had some food in the bar and also breakfast next morning which was lovely. Only complaint i would have is receptionist talked as if she was a snob and was afraid to crack a smile. Not very friendly. So the next day there was a... more

I attended a school fundraiser function in the conference centre here. See attached photographs for the conditions I encountered in the gents bathroom. This is completely unacceptable, and there was no-one around from the hotel staff for me to complain to. By the end of the night, they had an 'out of order' sign up, but the nearest other loo... more

This hotel is excellent value. The rooms are very clean & quiet. The Full Irish breakfast is all that you could ask for & sets you up for the day. We ate in the bar on one evening & the food was good but we ate in the restaurant on our 2nd evening & the food was just great, everythig... more

I stayed here for one night with a group of people and i have to say it leaves a lot to be desired. My room number 219 was lovely, clean and tidy and very warm, in fact i had to get up during the night to open the window. The bathroom was spotless with hot water. There was tea /... more

Nice cosy warm hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms were warm and clean. This is an old hotel that has managed to retain it's character whilst having modernised bedrooms and bathrooms. Had some bar food. It was adequate for the price. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Did not use fitness centre. Enjoyed our stay overall. more

Hotel cost 120 euro for two people b&b for one night. On driving down the fabulous entrance to the hotel we expected good things. We were disappointed! Hotel lobby was very nice, good atmosphere, nice music and friendly receptionist. The problems started when we left reception. Hotel was situated over a large area and directions to room were not good.... more
