Stayed in the Breaffy House for a friends wedding, perfect hotel for a wedding. Really nice hotel. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We stayed the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. Got a great rate on Hotels.com. The grounds are fantastic, gorgeous. Couldnt fault the hotel at all. We stayed in the lodges and although they had alot of space with 2 bedrooms, I would describe them as fairly basic. Was there with group of extended family. Also in hotel were couple with elderly lady in wheelchair. They had to lift the wheelchair down a number of steps into the dining room on each occasion they used it. So sad that the hotel wasnt embarrased by this. I stayed here with the wife and 17 month old child in July 2009 and enjoyed the experience. The room was big, comfortable and clean. We got a 3 night bb and 1 dinner special. the grounds on arrival are beautiful teh staff are very nice the hotel is beautiful would ecommend this hotel to everyone but of course there is a but the dinners are not very nice, it also needs to be cleaned there is a very very lingering smell in the seating areas through out the foyer and bar and librarythe carpets... more
