We arrived in Westport without reservations and noticed the sign for this B&B just as we headed down the hill to the downtown area. I think this B&B has only been open since July 2008, and has not yet done any extensive advertising. This lovely new stone building is set well back from the road with an expansive front lawn/garden and ample paved parking area for guests. Our room was well decorated, clean and comfortable with a large skylight over the bed and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Our hostess was reserved and accommodating, and served a wonderful full Irish breakfast. The location suited us perfectly - far enough from downtown to be quiet but only about 2 minutes walk to the local restaurants & pubs. more
