Back in August I spent 3 nights in Westport - County Mayo staying at the Clew Bay Hotel with my Dad. I was off travelling for a year and wanted to relax, sink a few Guinesses and spend some good time with him before my departure. The trip began with the owner of the hotel Marie picking us up from... more

enjoyed a three night stay here, reception area nice, staff all friendly and professional. room was pretty basic with tired and dated furniture, overlooked an appartment block from which there was some late night noise but no more than you would expect from any town center hotel.bed was comfy and shower good. breakfast good choice of buffet/cooked, soya milk was... more

We just spent a weekend at the Clew Bay on a golfing break. The hotel was excellent across all fronts. Excellent value for money; Ability to deliver an all in package; Customer service was personalised without being in your face and the accommodation and food was first class. A definite place to stay when visiting the West. more

I stayed there with my husband and three boys. Lovely and central to the town. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful for anything we needed. The local leisure centre is on the doorstep and free to residents which the boys all enjoyed. We got a great deal for a family which included a day pass to Westport house... more

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here while on our honeymoon traveling all over Ireland. The room was large and very comfortable and had a nice view out the back overlooking a park and canal. There is limited free parking on the street but you have to move your vehicle before a certain time to avoid a fine. We... more

I stayed here with a friend in mid August, taking advantage of one of the hotel's good value weekend deals. It was a lovely hotel in a good central location yet still fairly quiet. Nice spacious and comfortable rooms. Whilst I thought the dinner in the restaurant was average, the breakfasts were really nice and freshly cooked - not the... more

Food was excellant and service good. Rooms lack attention to detail, shower stall stained and a very poor flow of water in the shower. Tired old building and rooms but linens were crisp and clean. more

you will receive a typically friendly Irish welcome on arrival and that will set the standard for your stay. The bedrooms are well-appointed and spacious and the meals in the Bistro and Riverside restaurant meet most tastes and represent excellent value. There is also a good wine list but remember wine is expensive in Ireland these days, especially if you... more

Great food and staff. Convenient location on main street. A bit noisy a night due to staff shifting kegs etc but otherwise we enjoyed our 3 nights. more

Recently stayed in the Clew Bay and would highly recomend it. Great location, central but without the noise! carpark next door feels part of the hotel and free at the wend. Lovely size rooms, not too modern but spotless and ample for your needs. Bathroom could do with a few extra toiletries. Food was fab, breakfast and evening meal in... more
