I had a really great time there.
It is an amazing refurbished old building.
It is so nice that they don`t have T.V. there. The staff is very nice and friendly, the hostel was always tidy and clean.
The big kitchen is great place where we met warm and friendly people and went to town for a few drinks. The bars in Westport are amazing with traditional Irish music. Westport is a lovely town with river and bridges. We didn`t have enough time to climb Croagh Patrick, the holy mountain. I am definitely coming back again. West is best. :)

This hostel could do with serious updating. The private room i stayed in had mustard walls and ceilings and was bleak to say the least. There was a communal shower with very limited supplies of hot water. The free breakfast consisted of value white pan loaf. The only good thing was the location - it is very central. I did not enjoy any of the time i spent in the hostel, the mattresses were very hard and lumpy. Westport is lovely this hostel is not. more
