I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rockville Guest House for six nights with my wife, young son (16 months) and my mother, father and uncle. Little did we know what a gem we had found until we were greeted by a friendly and inviting Mary at her doorstep and looked out of the front room, across the... more

My two sisters and I stayed at the Rockville Guesthouse B&B in Westport, Ireland in late September 2009. Our host, Mary, was just lovely and did everything possible to make us comfortable. You can see Croagh Patrick, Ireland's Holy Mountain, from her house, the view is so beautiful. Like most B&B's in Ireland, there are stairs to climb but she... more

Very enjoyable stay. Warm welcoming hostess, very helpful on places to go, things to see and do. Beautiful location with views of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. Very quiet. Comfortable bedroom, clean and bright. Use of lounge and conservatory. Good choice for breakfast, ample portions (Best to order evening before) Altogether a very pleasant B&B more

With an intricate yet `homely` eye for detail regarding comfort and cleanliness of accomodation and a natural concern for the wellbeing of her guests, allied with perfect location and the Breakfast menu from Heaven (plus an... more

My son& I spent two wonderful days in Westport during our Irish holiday in June. We stayed at a lovely B&B and found the proprietor of Rockville to be one of the most hospitable of all the B&B's we stayed at in Ireland. The accommodation was spotless, the breakfasts delicious and the conviviality warm and helpful. Long will we recall... more

Seven of us recently had the delightful pleasure of experiencing an overnight stay at Rockville Guesthouse in Westport. Our hostess Mary gave us a friendly welcome which included tea and scones in the conservatory overlooking the most beautiful garden and scenery. This was served late in the afternoon after a long day of driving.....much appreciated Mary. Situated out of the... more

We are visiting Ireland from Chicago with our teenage girls for the first time but it is my third trip to Croagh Patrick, and this was my best experience here in Westport. The B&B is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and our daughters enjoyed having choices for breakfast beyond the usual choices. Mary Hughes was a warm... more
