Stayed here for 8 days: half with son and family half with spouse.
Spacious rooms and comfortable beds with views out the windows, There was a large sitting room with a pull out sofa bed which worked great when we had the extended family. Dishwasher worked fine; washing machine/dryer a little slow but fine. Good shower; plenty of hot water.
We were able to walk from the house all the way up Knocknarea and back.
You would need a car since it's a good stretch of the legs to Strandhill village and about 8km to Sligo. You can take back roads and be there in a flash.
Freddie and his wife were quite helpful.
Highly recommended.
One surprise was there is a family upstairs and the owners are on the other side of the kitchen and one bedroom. No problem with noise. Also, had difficulty getting internet signal (up and down) but we were there on vacation so it wasn't an issue for us.
