This hotel was a real mixed bag. On the pluis side, it has a lot of character in the common areas, free wireless internet in some parts of the hotel (in the downstairs lounges, and on the first floor in the corridor area to name a couple). There is a well stocked bar, and plenty of comfortable spaces to sit... more

Spent a lovely weekend with my daughter in this lovely old fashioned hotel in the heart of Sligo. It's outward appearance looked old fashioned but once you cross the threshold the feeling of warmth and welcoming it very apparent. The receptionist welcomed us and was very helpful and thorough in her description of what was available at the hotel. Took... more

We're usually pretty easy going, but this was not a good experience. First impression of the hotel was that it was tired and in need of a good overhaul, and this was reinforced when we entered our room which had virtually no natural light, was painted dull maroon and which had rusty fixtures in the bathroom. The room we changed... more

Stayed there twice, one night in June 08' and was more than happy to come back for a second stay in March 09'. Initially my choice was based on the location of the hotel, being next door to the bus and rail stations. Very comfortable and no need to pay extra money for a taxi to get you to the... more

I stayed here on a short weekend break. Shame about the weather! Staying in this hotel really took me back to family holidays in the 1970s. The floorboards creaked and were uneven. Guests are given proper keys rather than those ghastly magnetic swipe cards so many hotels dole out these days. Location: Very handy for the centre of Sligo, which... more
