The hotel is old fashioned, small hall, strange stairs. I have to agree with the terrible smell of the smoke. The room was quite average for this price, but the paint was falling of the walls. Everything was clean, we got toilettpappers and towells etc. The most annoying thing was that we heard everything what the neighbours've done.. and the... more

Listed in the lonely planet as "midrange" this hotel is nothing short of a disaster. Smelling of old smokers, and generally a feeling of being "unclean",the shower did not work and the bath leaked water onto the carpet and is situated above a nightclub with no sound proofing, it was nothing short of horrible! more

Looking for a place to stay as we passed through Sligo we came accross the Innisfree Hotel which seemed be in a perfect location situated downtown. When we went to the room the windows were nailed close outside of our bathroom window which would push open from the top from the outside because the hindge was broke. Being paranoid we... more

Mistake No 1) I booked myself and three others into the xxxx hotel. Mistake no 2) I checked into my room and shut the door behind me. What struck me most as I surveyed the room (apart from the shocking state of the decoration) was the oppressive heat. I could barely breathe. I crossed to the window but it had... more

Stayed here with a hen party and it was perfect for accomodation for this type stay. Sligo is a lovely lively town with a great atmosphere - this hotel is very central and I found it to be very reasonably priced. The lady at reception, who was also barmaid and waitress was very friendly and helpful. If you are after... more

Stayed here few times during the year. It's a little rough but has a certain charm about it. The rooms seem to get worse as the floors get higher. My first stay was the top floor and the room was pretty awful. Since then I've stayed on 1st and 2nd floors. 1st floor is best. These rooms are quite nice.... more

I read the reviews here and thought fantastic so I booked. I stayed over the weekend. Friday night was fine, Saturday night was a disaster. There is a night club in the Hotel on a Saturday night. If you intend to try to go to bed before 3.00 a.m. do not stay here. This noise is unbearable from the Club.... more

I came to ireland last summer and after travelling round the whole of Ireland finally reached Sligo. I found that the town was charming and friendly, and the Innisfree hotel added to that charm. The hotel staff were friendly and always willing to help, and the bar staff were also very welcoming, just the rest of the Irsh population that... more
