We returned recently against our better judgement on our childrens insistence. we stayed in hotel last year and were not impressed at all with the standard of the rooms and the mostly rude staff. The only reason we returned was because on our last visit we met one lovely fella called james who seemed to be the only person with... more

This is rated a 3*hotel so don't go expecting luxury. My children are really well travelled (we've been to Australia twice, regular city breaks and sun holidays) and this was the only place in the world that my son aged 8 cried when we were leaving. The KO's were great doing activities with the children at various times during the... more

Oh I wish I had read the reviews 1st of the Yeats County hotel..... Fawlty Towers would not have a look in... its only redemming quality was the young Irish receptionist on duty that weekend and the very friendly eastern european bar man. Other wise the staff looked on guests as an inconvenience to be ignored and they were very... more

As we were staying in the winter months all the shops except one were closed so I would say it is more of a summer destination than a winters. The swimming pool and spa was very very good as it was clean and they supplied you with towels. The place was very clean and rooms were fine. Would highly recommend... more

A bargain break that was also wonderfully relaxing. The location is superb the views wonderful and the weather was unseasonably fabulous. The food was good and while the hotel is a little shabby, the staff were helpful and pleasant. more

We stayed here for three nights. Having read the reviews we wondered what the place would be like. We decided to give it a go and make up our own minds. It is quite shabby and you only get one very flat pillow on your bed, still it is not expensive so maybe you get what you pay for. However... more

When we arrived at hotel we had to double check the sat nav to make sure we actually put in the correct hotel. Praying we had cause surely a three star hotel couldn’t look so bad but unfortunately not we had arrived at the correct hotel. The outside was old and grubby and just looked horrible. We went in to... more

Stayed in August for 3 nights. Like everyone else, we were scared by the other reviews but the price carried us there, Go here if you want a big room, cheap basic food, late breakfast (till 11am) and a pretty good location by the sea. Don't go here if you want entertainment, friendly staff, good food, a romantic setting or... more

I booked this break away at short notice and then read the reviews! I didnt know what to expect and approached the hotel with caution. I was delighted to recieve friendly and helpful service. Although the exterior is "weathered" there was some new decking and lovely new furniture to relax outside. The decor may have been dated in the function... more
