Our group of twelve golfers arrived tired and hungry on a Monday evening, not realizing that food was not normally served during the week. As we moved our gear into our rooms, I asked Darren if he could feed us for the three nights we were staying. He graciously agreed, and ended up providing us choices and quality food. His... More

A bit off the beaten track but exemplary location with a view right over Dunmore strand to the mountains off to the east. The rooms in the B&B are excellent, some with sea views, the staff friendly and the food and service excellent. Great value overall. The location is convenient with Easky only 10 min away and Enniscrone and Sligo... More

This June I will be heading back to The Beach Bar Sligo/Aughris House. I have stayed two other times and both times were great. The location is so fantastic and pub food and Guinness was too. When I was reviewing for the up coming trip I could not believe I had not written a review in the past. I found... More

Found The Beach Bar a few years ago, and I've been going back ever since! The Bar itself is awsome, with some hillarious regulars, friendly bar-staff and great food. The B & B has some fantastic views over the beach and across the bay, make sure to ask for Darren he'll sort you out with the best rooms (get the... More

I've been going here since I was a little girl on our visits back to Sligo- three decades or so. While the pub has had a few additions, updates and rearrangements over the years, it has never lost its original charm. The food is fantastic (in winter months, only soup, etc. is available on weekdays but a full menu is... More

A bit out of the way but well worth the trip. The Beach Bar sits on the Atlanic Ocean with the most amazing sunsets. Traditional pub food and drinking crowd.. The bedrooms are in a separate house and although small they are very clean and quiet. The breakfast was made to order and was very fulfilling

We spent 3 nights here over the half term break in October. Our room was great value and we had a beautiful view of the beach and surfers. Breakfasts were mammoth and an excellent variety. The restaurant was very busy on the Sunday our first night and the food was truly delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The... More

I found the Beach Bar while looking for a place to stay around Sligo. We booked based off the reviews and location and we were not disappointed. Be careful on your way in if you're driving and not used to Irish roads. The Beach Bar/Aughris House is located at the end of a narrow country road and you'll probably think... More

We took a drive out to Aughris the Saturday before last and stopped in at the Beach Bar after a nice walk along the beach. We just had drinks but it was so cosy and welcoming that we decided to return last Saturday for dinner and to spend a little more time! My other half fished for a while off... More
