My wife and I are currently staying in this beautiful historic hotel and we think it is great. The hotel dates from the 1700s and is right on the waterfront of this ancient town of Waterford which dates back to 900 AD. Our room was only 50 Euros per person per night and it is fully equipped with everything we... More

Stayed at the Granville in April and again in August of 2011. The hotel is clean, well appointed rooms, has wireless internet and excellent full breakfast with attentive staff. The hotel itself reminds me of my trips to the Ireland, the UK and the Continent years back when hotels had their own character and weren't all Holiday Inn clones like... More

We stayed here for 3 nights from 20th Jan 2012. We found the reception staff very helpful and efficient. Our room was in a quiet area on the third floor and it was very comfortable and clean. Our bathroom was very spacious and spotless. The shower was in the bath, which I am always concerned about, but there was a... More

At this time of year hotel was obviously very busy but service very good -room good with free wired internet. Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. Lovely to read you enjoyed taking in Tramore races and your stay at the Granville during the busy festive season. It's important for Waterford that guests get to experience what we have to offer. Perhaps you will return for next years festivities. More

We stayed only one night. It was quite adequate for us. Parking is available directly across the road in a public car park. Parking ticket is validated between 5pm and 11am. Outside these hours you pay the hourly rate. The room was Extremely Hot! The radiator would not go off for hours! Staff eat breakfast with guests in dining room... More

I liked the fact they had a midweek special that included breakfast and parking. The rooms are large and the hotel is quiet. Would recommend for a short stay in Waterford. We enjoyed the view of the river, and that it is a 5 minute walk to Waterford Crystal. More

Had dinner here tonight with my partner....service was not great...barely asked if we needed anything. The food...we both ordered turkey and ham...and had a small bowl of potatoes and veg to share between us. Partner got a lemonade in a small brandy glass and charged. €2.50 whereas I got a large glass of coke for €1.90. Turkey was lovely but... More
