Although the Lodge is something larger than we expected from a B&B, we did go into it knowing that from earlier reviews. In the end, it ended up suiting us perfectly well. The staff went out of the way to cater to our requests for information and particular needs. Our room was very comfortable – and spotlessly clean, which is... More

In the current climate, I would have thought that any hotelier would go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. With reports of business being down to such an extent, repeat business and word of mouth reviews are, presumably, very important. Unfortunately, the owner of the Arlington lodge doesn't agree with this. We were made to feel that... More

This hotel is reasonably priced with good food and generally nice rooms. We stayed for two nights. I am not a fussy guest but i was bitterly disappointed with my experience. The hospitality from the owner/general manager left a lot to be desired. We arrived with a young baby (who incidentally slept for most of his stay) and we immediately... More

Arrived at the hotel at approx. 12 noon on the Friday we were welcomed by a pleasant reception area. The girl showed us to our rooms which were very spacious but very cold. After switching on an electric fire in the room she left us. Despite the fire being on for long periods of time the room and bathroom never... More

We arrived in Waterford after a 22-hour (read: a lifetime) flight from Sydney, checking in very bedraggled as you can imagine. But the charming staff made us very welcome and suggested restaurants and several fine pubs where we could relax and get our bearings. We were originally booked in for 4 days but changed that to a week, which became... More

It was a lovely weekend in the sunny south east. The Hotel was great and the staff are very accomodating. Food was very good and the Waterford night life is great fun. I would go back again.

You don't get what you pay for here(and that's quite a bit). From the vintage cars in the drive to the walnut veneer on the dresser this is a place with aspirations but little substance. You get the feeling on entering of a genteel but twee country house. The William Morris bar on the ground floor is a cosy little forum for boorish... We are very disappointed with the poor review of the last traveller. We do strive to make every guest feel welcome and enjoy their time with us, but obviously we failed in that regard at this time. For this we can only apologise, and reiterate should any of our guests be unhappy with the service they receive, please do bring... More

While the room was nice, we had some definite problems with this hotel! If you go, know that they lock the main gate at midnight, so if you stay out late you need to let them know. They also make you leave your room key at the front desk every time you leave. Apparently this is to help them know... More
