have stayed at the Ferrycarrig five times and we are really looking forward to our next trip on 24th. Nov. There is nothing negative about this hotel , we enjoy eating in the bar and the dining room and love the food in both places, we found the staff to be friendly and courteous at all times. We upgraded to... more

We stayed for 2 nights B&B on the excellent Super Valu €150 deal. The hotel is so warm and welcoming to young kids. (Ours are aged 4 and 19 months). They swam and visited the kids club every day and had a great time. The room with micrwave, fridge and steriliser is brilliant. The food was superb at breakfast. We... more

My wife and our 2 children stayed for 2 days. We usually have 2 mini holidays per year and a sun holiday. To say the least this is the worst holiday we have taken in over 15 years. We found staff at reception to be cold, rude. We went to the Reads restaurant its memu is very short, no chicken... more

View over the river was beautiful and the weather was cracking so you got a chance to enjoy it. If I get an opportunity I will return in... more

This hotel is probably fine if you are travelling with children. But it didn't suit us I'm afraid as we had expected something more like quiet luxury. It was neither. Children happily screaming and running about until all hours in all parts of the hotel was great for the children and for their parents I'm sure but I wouldn't choose... more

Just back having spent weekend in Ferrycarrig Hotel. We had an excellent stay. Family room spacious and spottlessly clean. Leisure centre excellent - kids had a gala in the kiddies swimming area which had 'bubble area' and fountain at the press of a button. Food was just the best - extensive breakfast menu - feast like a king to start... more

Just back form a 2 night stay at the Ferrycarricg and the whole family had a great time. I was a little uneasy booking because it was so cheap, but we got a brilliant deal through supervalu, 150 Euro for 2 nights b/b for 2 adults and 2 children, so decided to book. I thought standards would have dropped like... more

We are just home from our 8th stay in Ferrycarraig. It was busier than ever, showing the good places will always do well.It is very child friendly, but those travelling without children can be assured of adult only space in the dining room and in the bar. Staff all friendly and most helpful. The setting is ,of course, one of... more
