We stayed for 3 nights at Wicklow Head Lighthouse. The entire lighthouse is yours, it's truly amazing. The kitchen is 109 steps from the bottom, so you have to be willing to climb lots of stairs. There are two bedrooms, and one bathroom, basically in the middle of the lighthouse. In the livingroom there are padded cubbies to sit in by all the windows, giving you a very cozy place to sit and watch the ocean. It's remote, so at night it's very dark, which lets you see the star filled sky. We were lucky to be there during a storm, listening to the wind knock the windows about. A truly unforgettable experience. Kitchen is well appointed. We were there over Thanksgiving weekend, so we made ourselves a Thanksgiving dinner (Guinness beef stew instead of turkey) and spent the night at the top of our lighthouse.
