The Wicklow Way Lodge is happily perched on a death-defying slope of road just up from the village of Laragh. It's a short ride from there to beautiful Glendalough, Lough Dan, the Wicklow Way, or many other area attractions. Roundwood and Laragh offer charming pubs and great food. The rooms are spotless, exquisitely comfortable, roomy and private. But none of... more

This is not your average B&B Perched on a hill in the remote countryside of County Wicklow near the town of Roundwood, the Wicklow Way Lodge is a haven for weary travellers or those looking for a base from which to explore the area. The views from most of the rooms are superb, and the porridge is the best you... more

I go on a yearly trip with my girlfriends, and two of them planned this one beautifully. I had misgivings about this Lodge because the photos on the website looked iffy. But my friends reassured me that TripAdvisor had given it rave reviews. This site has not steered me wrong yet. I really thought I had walked into a dream.... more

When we first drove up to the house, we thought we were dreaming. The house is on a farm (currently growing Christmas trees) that borders the national park. Marilynn was fantastic! So friendly- she and Seamus even gave us a lift into nearby Roundwood for dinner and picked us up a few hours later! The room was so nice and... more

One night was not enough. We loved this charming B & B at the base of scar mountain. The view from our balcony was gorgeous! After getting settled, we decided to open a bottle of red and sit outside and enjoy the views while leafing though our guidebook deciding where to go for dinner. It was so relaxing and romantic... more

We disliked the location of Wicklow Way Lodge, it was too remote for us. To get to the Lodge, you have to drive for about 4 miles on very, very narrow roads. There are no restaurants within walking distance, so you have to drive on the narrow roads every time you want lunch or dinner. We didn't get to enjoy... more

We were new to the Irish B&B circuit and the Wicklow Way Lodge provided a delightful introduction. After a day's walk, Marilyn greeted us warmly with a very welcome drink of cool water, then showed us to a beautiful room. The views from the balcony are spectacular and the architecture of the accomodations compliments the lovely natural surroundings. After a... more

Marilyn and her family have created a destination B & B. The beds are sumptuous enough to lure you to sleep even if you have hiked too much or are still adjusting to jet lag - probably the most comfortable we've ever slept in away from home. The dogs are friendly, but don't enter the guest bedrooms so allergies are... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Wicklow Way Lodge for one night in April, and I would have loved to stay longer. We stayed in one of the front rooms with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Unfortunately the day we were there was cloudy and foggy, so we didn't have the greatest view, but it didn't take away from... more

Excellent! Couldn't have asked for more. The hospitality was second to none.......This was our 5th stay in Ireland and the best B&B so far. The porridge is a must. They couldn't have been more friendly or do enough for you to make your stay a pleasant one. Recommend a trip to Glendalough, Wicklow Way for a walk (make sure you... more
