Hotel is very shabby and run down. I am a member of the Hotel Groups Leisure club and have stayed at several of the groups hotels and this is in a worse condition than any of the others I have stayed in (although the Ship in Brighton runs it close) Positives first. Arrived at hotel looks very grand until you step inside. Massive hotel, large rooms but tiny lifts. We were on fourth floor and had a few corridors to get to room. I just wish to say what a lovely weekend we had at this hotel. It isn't much to look at from the outside but on the inside is a warm friendly atmosphere. The food in the resturant is excellent and i haven't enjoyed a meal as much in ages. I will gladly stay at this hotel again and recommend it... more
