I arrived at 10.30pm after a long journey from London and tried to order room service - the phone rang for 5 minutes with no answer. I then rang reception to be told they were closed till 11pm (despite the room service brochure stating there was full room service till 11). When I finally got someone at 11pm they had... more

The Holiday Inn was just as all tend to be around the world! Apparently it has been refurbished quite recently so everything was still quite new. The room I had was very large and wasn't overlooked. The hotel itself is a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Harrogate. The hotel is attached to a large conference centre which can... more

My wife and I had a last minute one night stay in March booked directly with the hotel. We arrived just before lunch and found parking in the Hotel car park easy but quite a distance from the Hotel. The car park is also quite small and fills very quickly, it is however reasonable value at £5 per day. We... more

Having read previous reviews, we drove to the entrance, offloaded our luggage then I went to park whilst my wife checked in, so that process went smoothly. Lucky, there were plenty of parking spaces. We found all the staff to be polite and efficient. We booked a standard double room which although small was adequate and clean, in particular the... more

We stayed at this hotel two years ago (see review) and I must say right off the bat that the bathrooms have been greatly improved! Check in was smooth, the room was clean and other than the minor annoyance of the remote control not working (an essential item when travelling with a 9-year-old who has been promised telly in bed)... more

Coming in at £55 for a double room with breakfast included was money well spent we felt. After reading some of the reviews one does get doubts but to be honest our experience was very possitive and added to the great weekend we had in Harrogate. The hotel is centrally located, arrived arround mid day and had no parking problems.... more

We were due to stay in another hotel, but due to a mix up between the travel agent and hotel, we were "upgraded" to the Holiday Inn. The building, it has to be said is an eyesore in the middle of a beautiful historic town. That aside ... The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was modern, spacious... more

I had expected what I thought was a reliable name in the hotel business, Holiday Inn, to be that little bit better than average. I was sadly mistaken. Firstly car parking is a joke. This massive hotel has 100 spaces, which rapidly fill up. They then give you a disk for your windscreen which you can use to park across... more

Firstly, please accept my apologies for having given you cause to complain. If I may, I will address your points as you have raised them: Car Parking. The car park at the hotel accommodates just over 100 cars and in common with many car parks within Harrogate, it does prove very popular. In order to best accommodate the parking needs...

Car parking as mentioned was a nightmare, had to park on a side street as saturday night was full. bit of a joke to charge a fiver for... more
