We found this a pleasant hotel to stay in. It is centrally located and is in a huge old fashioned building. Harrogate generally has some lovely old buildings. The staff were very attentive and the rooms were spotlessly clean, We were only there on a Bed and Breakfast basis but the food and service in the dining room and lounge bar were excellent. Recently renovated, with rooms coming up to a high standard, and not too poky. It was nice to have a bathroom with a window in it, which can be unusual in hotels where en-suite facilities have been squeezed in to the existing layout. The corridors weren't quite so plush, but that's of secondary importance really. Staff were pleasant and polite.... more

We stayed at the hotel for a 2 day break and thought it was lovely. Our room was huge, with a large really comfy bed. The whole hotel was spotless. I particularly loved the breakfast room ( my husband loved the breakfast). The gardens out the back are amazing, especially as the hotel is town centre. more
