Every year, we have a girls only weekend in a different location: just myself, my mum and my 14 year-old daughter. This time, I chose St George Hotel because we wanted to do some shopping and lots of relaxing. I won't dwell too long on the shops or Betty's Tea Rooms which were all great & everything we had hoped... More

It's fantastic to read such an honest and complimentary review. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences with other trip advisor users. I will ensure my maintenance team investigate and rectify the grouting in room 100. I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel, please feel free to call reservations at the hotel... More

I had read the reviews before we went and some of them made me slightly apprehensive. I need not have worried. I honestly wonder what some folks are looking for. The car park was full but I had been warned by Tripadvisor. Parked in what wasn't really a space and was asked to move after checking in, fair enough but... More

Once again it's a great pleasure to read such a shining review of the hotel and my team. I am sure the Receptionist did pass your comments to Shelly, my Sous Chef, however I will personally ensure that she is aware of your thoughts. I totally agree with your comments about Boutique Hotels we are not professing to be the... More

My partner and I booked a night in york, but after such a good day and also being shattered from walking around all day we decided to stay for another night which we thought why not try Harrogate for a change of scenery. Unfortunately, we only had Internet access via our phones and with a poor signal it was becoming... More

I have read and digested your entire review with much regret. Firstly I would like to point out that we are not a four star hotel, we are a 3 star hotel and our chain is extremely different style to the Marriott chain which you refer to. We do have limited car parking for guests, however all staff are able... More

Stayed for a short break (2 nights) at the St George, Harrogate and have to say...great value for money. If there was a four and a half rating on Trip Advisor would have given that...can't give 5 out of 5 because that means perfection..and, sorry...it was slightly (only slightly!!!!) below perfection. Staff - fantastic - couldn't do enough for you... More

Your honest review of the hotel makes wonderful reading, I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to my staff and in particular Angela. All the staff work hard to ensure that guests enjoy their time with us. The corridors are in need of attention and you'll be pleased to hear we are working our way through the... More

Thanks for your review Shearings do certainly offer some fantastic value breaks to wonderful locations around the UK. I'm sorry you had problems with the TV and WIFI connections, the TV's are all due to be replaced very soon and unfortunately the WIFI is occasionally intermittent in certain areas of the hotel. We do have limited space in the car... More

I'm pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us and your time in Harrogate, Shearings Coach Holidays really do offer excellent value for money. As you pointed out the rooms at the front of the hotel do experience some road traffic noise, as the front bedrooms overlook the main A61 which is the main road that runs between Leeds... More

We had a couple of nights here while attending the flower show. The car park was far to small for the size of the hotel and the day we were leaving I was blocked in as the hotel was having some sort of indoor car boot so the cramped car park was a nightmare. The bar area was quite nice... More

Interestingly I'm not aware of any indoor car boot's that we have had at the hotel?. The car parking is limited and free of charge to guests on a first come first serve basis. As I have commented in other reviews we are still working on improving areas of the hotel and this does include our bathrooms. Regards Edwina More

This hotel has its own small car park which is useful. The bar area looked spacious and recently renovated, but we never used it as only there a short time. Receptionists polite, helpful & efficient.
