Fine looking bed and breakfast, a few blocks from Harrogate Conference Center, typical semidetached row house combined into one b&b. Friendly hosts. Our room (June 21-24, 2004) was on the first floor, ensuite, very nice. She gave me a portable heater as the radiators only come on occasionally. The bed was the worst I've ever had - it felt as though we were laying on the box springs. Our bathroom was a tiny new one, built into the corner of a large, high ceilinged room. We had trouble adjusting the shower temperature, but got the hang of it the second day. The first night there was a fellow in the alley behind the hotel calling to a friend and pounding on a door. We remedied the noise problem the second night by leaving our bathroom fan running as white noise. There was very little noise from the hall or above us.
