As a local to Darley we need a good place to eat and when I moved here 3 years ago it was. But at Easter we had our third and last bad experience here and will not be back. My husband is a health nut and saw a great meal for him on the menu, chicken breast on a bed... More

Stayed here unexpectedly due to snow, couldn't get to our destination. Rooms were disappointing and mattresses dire, when you ran your hand over them you could feel all the springs. The bathroom had mould and was dated. When I commented the next morning I was told a major refurbishment was due.The main bar /eating area is lovely as others have commented... More

We went for Sunday lunch, and looking at the menu I had no hesitation in deciding on the roast beef; however, I was be told on ordering that they'd run out! I was extremely disappointed and somewhat incredulous that a country pub could run out of a standard Sunday dinner option so early in the afternoon - surely they can... More

Great food, and they were very patient and friendly with our kids. We sat in the bar which was casual and spacious. Sunday roast was incredible -- don't miss the Yorkshire pudding or roasted potatoes. The puddings were great as well!

We visited the Wellington on the advice of Trip Advisor. From the moment we walked in and saw the stone flagged floor, plain wooden tables, roaring log fire and were met by Philippe and his team, we felt welcome and knew this was the place for us. The food and restaurant were really good and Marie was very patient while... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night (16th March) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a lovely log fire burning when we arrived which was so welcoming so we decided to book to have dinner there also. The meal was very good - I had the fish pie which was packed with fish and seafood and so lovely... More

I went to The Wellington back in the late 80s when it was a local pub with a mildly threatening atmosphere. I was very surprised to return 20 years later to find a busy restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. I have since returned twice and will do so again, as my experiences have all been good. My next... More

It was snowing when we arrived at this country pub in the Nidderdale dale of the Yorkshire dales on a very cold Saturday in late February 2013. We were greeted by a warming, roaring fire in a huge fireplace. The staff were friendly and showed us to our room. It was perfectly acceptable, with all the usual amenities of flat-screen... More

Went to the Wellington Inn for Sunday Lunch, arrived about 1.25pm, the car park was busy so thought it was a good sign. Got the last table for two as everywhere else was occupied, there were two parties of about 8 in and the rest were 4's. Sat at our table with menus for a good 15 minutes before our... More
