I have visited The Wellington a couple of times over the last couple of years and, I'm glad to say, it seems to be getting better and better. Went away for one evening for my boyfriends birthday. It was a lovely old pub, lovely big fire etc. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. View from our room was really pretty. Had a lovely night. More

We stayed here for one night on the 1st October for a family wedding in Harrogate. Positive aspects of our stay: staff very friendly, drinks reasonably priced, really tasty breakfast, nice homely feel, beautiful views. Negatives: Beds did seem quite hard, decor is a bit tired. Overall we enjoyed our stay (even my extremely fussy mother who wants to go... More

My wife and I stayed overnight 1st October 2011 in groundfloor room 3. This is a twin room with en suite bath/shower. The room was clean , light and airy . The two single beds were not very comfortable. It was let down by the bathroom which was clean but tired and in need to some re-furbishment. It is kitted... More

We stayed one night in August 2011 in room 4 and although it was clean it could do with a basic update eg, the shower screen was really tired and past it's sell by date - to put it politely! The bed was not comfortable at all, really bad night sleep. The views surrounding the Wellington are outstanding, which we... More

When you're specifically asked by the barman if you're eating and you're given a menu, you'd expect someone to come and take your order wouldn't you? Nobody bothered coming to our table for 10-15 minutes. So I went back to the bar and was told a waitress would be with us to take our order. Another 10-15 minutes passed by... More
