Had a fantastic last minute weekend away stay at the madison hotel. Dont understand what the bad reviews are about, maybe a different hotel as it was modern, upto date, friendly staff, close to tourist attractions etc etc. Booked on lastminute.com and got a double room for an excellent £25 a night, well worth a visit and have recommeded it... more

Room was £120 per night, but was damp with mould and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The bath taps were fitted the wrong way round(!) so that I nearly scalded myself when running the "cold" tap. Would not recommend a stay. A complaint brought no results more

Had just a one night stopover at this hotel. Easy for the motorway - no fuss three star accomodation. Better than a particular chain of 'lodges' that I could mention. We stayed at the Madison for 4 nights whilst attending an exhibition, 5/11/07 until 9/11/07. The rooms, dinners ,(we ate at the hotel every night) breakfast and staff were superb. Our rooms had recently been refirbished as had the bar and restaurant. I would recommend it Steve Ashmore more

This hotel has improved massively in the last 9 months. great new restaurant and fab jazz playing on the night of my stay. The new owners have obviously spent a load of money and it showes more
