I have stayed at The Ivy when on business in Swindon on numerous occasions. My employer offers me the option of staying at hotels such as the Holiday Inn, but The Ivy has always been my preferred choice. Have just got back from my one night stay here for a work awayday. I had the good fortune to be allocated room 101 - the Red Room with a four poster bed. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming, but it was the food that delighted me. Everything is locally sourced so the bacon at breakfast was of fine... more

I can't comment on the hotel itself as we only used the restaurant, but recommend the restaurant very highly. The food was delicious (the hotel website has specimen menus on display so I won't go into detail here of the sort of menu on offer), but the differentiating factor making this an 'excellent' rather than 'above average' was the service... more
