Pity this lovely hotel on the slopes of the Wrekin is so run down. Management do not seem to care that hotel facilities are dirty broken or just worn out. We stayed three nights. The room was so shabby even though we upgraded to an executive double. One day it wasn't even cleaned! There is a mixed bag of reviews for this Hotel and the one prior to this re 'Strange Location' I just can't get my head around ! First of all the location is very strange, stuck in the middle of nowhere just off the main road. The hotel is set around a lake (more like a swamp) and looks a little tired from the outside. Read the reviews with a little bit of trepidation , but knew i wasn't going to a five star hilton, as star rating for hotels are pretty useless.
