My family owned this hotel from somewhere around 1795 until the 1840's. In the lobby are receipts signed by my GGGrandfather. Nobody there knows that, of course. No Need to leave your house at 2am to get to Gatwick, better go the night before and stay at the George hotel. The hotel is about 5 - 10 mins by train to Gatwick Airport. The train Station being a short walk to the Hotel. Don't think of the reception and teh corridor carpet being representative of the hotel.... more

Stayed here during stopover at Gatwick Airport. A fair standard hotel for the price. Located in the centre of Crawley and surrounded by shopping streets, restaurants, cars etc. Reception was courteous and efficient, room was a little dated but clean and comfortable.
