Not a good experience for us at all. We (two adults, two kids 6 & 9) booked the 'stay and park' package. We stayed at the hotel on the saturday before we went to Egypt and we had three mains issues. 1) Were not provided with instructions about the car parking. When we checked in no-one told us what we... more

Stayed here for 3 days on recent business trip March 2008. My room on second floor of older section of hotel overlooked a courtyard. This place looks more like a country inn than an airport hotel, situated on 100 acres of land surrounded by woods and homes. Room was quaint in a good way, although the bed was a little... more

The room was terribly run down (furniture was worn and scratched and just crappy) and so small and cramped we had to stack our luggage in the corner (international travel so we had three larger cases) and two people could not pass each other at the foot of the bed it was so close to the wall. There was maybe... more

Needs serious refurbishment, but the price is right. However had to use the room phone to call a Mobile, as I had no signal on my phone. On phone 10minutes, I was charged over £28.00. They would accept no complaint--hotel policy. I felt Ripped off, and left with a bad taste. Go somewhere else, there are so many better place... more

Stayed here approx. 20 years ago and the decor is exactly the same as it was then - but now it is tired in places and in need of a refurb/re-design. This hotel is fine for a pre-flight departure, as the location is ideal to reach the airport. We had a standard double room in the old part of the... more

Stayed here recently on one of their Weekend Breaks. We initially booked a King Club Room, but decided to upgrade to one of their 3 'Presidential Suites'. Since our previous stay, you now have to pay £5 to park overnight, even as a residential guest - which I think is an absolute cheek! Check in was prompt and polite and... more

Booked through a long stay car park company on a park / stay deal , staying overnight at hotel and parking car in companys own car park about a mile down the road for £89 including a weeks parking and shuttle buses. Found hotel to be welcoming, clean and comfortable and generally of a good standard. The Hotel is a... more

I cannot believe that this hotel comes so far down the list of hotels in Gatwick as its our favourite to stay in pre flight and we are always dissapointed if we cannot get in here. I guess this is the reason for writing this review. Yes the place is not 21st century chic but this is part of its... more

We stayed here for a dinner dance run by our social club and the event, meal and venue were really good although they need to organise somewhere else for the smokers to stand other than just outside the door. The room and the bathroom were ok, but smelled of old smoke which was vaguely nasty. Otherwise it was clean, pleasant... more

The hotel sincerely apologises for the poor service levels that you received that morning. We had some staff sickness and unfortunately could not get replacements in time for this event. We have increased the number of chefs on the morning shift and the last few weekends have run smoothly. Thank you for taking the time to write your review, we...

Charming hotel that also has plenty of function. Old English grounds and outer facade, yet maintains modern rooms and conveniences such as: TV with clock, High speed internet (xtra fee, but fast), room service, quality bathroom and spacious room. Bus transportation on regular schedule to/from Gatwick airport (2.50 pounds each way). My stay was for a 2 night business trip... more
