I stayed at the Ibis Gatwick on a Tuesday night before we flew to Cyprus. The hotel is not far from the airport with the shuttle bus. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Nice, new hotel near Gatwick Airport. Reasonably priced but like a number of places near London you have to pay an additional £5 for parking. Rooms smallish and bathroom/toilet was put in as a complete unit. Would stay there again. more

Ibis is a budget hotel chain, so you can't expect too much. However, the place was spotlessly clean, quiet and comefortable. The bathroom module was not to my taste, but seemed to work fine. Good basic hotel. Rooms were fine. Could be a littler closer to the airport - a 5 min taxi cost us 12 pounds becuase we arrived after the free shuttle service had finished! All in all was fine. more

Having tried the overpriced Hilton on previous overnight stays near Gatwick we decided to give the Ibis at £61 a night a try. We found the desk staff (all French!) very helpfull, they even let me use their computer to check-in for our flight the next day. We spent one night there before a morning flight. We wanted a smoking room with wi-fi. The lobby said smoking rooms were on the 5th floor and we couldn't get wi-fi there. For a budget hotel before an early morning flight this did the job. I had stayed in the Travellodge at Gatwick also and this is a better standard. The big shower was a great bonus. more
