This is nice old English style hotel in the middle of industrial and business area. There is a good pub and restaurant with good food too. So, your basic needs are very near. The hotel is surrounded by very beautiful small park with ducks. Rooms are clean but sometimes not so quiet. more

Always stay here the night before a holiday as it starts the holiday early and removes any traffic worries on route to catching a plane. What a terrible nights sleep - well I never had more than 10 minutes sleep, would have been better commuting from home at 3am! Room was far too hot. This hotel is in a good location for Gatwick Airport. It is walking distance to the North Terminal, but should you have luggage or are travelling to the South Terminal, there is also a bus service that picks you up from outside the main door of the hotel, and runs every 20 minutes at peak times, for £2.50 per adult.... more

When one has to request a sheet for the bed... not a good sign. And, while the shuttle to the airport was on time, the wake up call was 15 min. late! Hallways were cramped and dark, no air flow, and kinda smelled funky. Nearby pub- very good service. good food as well. I was very happy to leave. more
