On the arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a really friendly gentleman who booked us in and asked us if we would like any help with our bags. They don't do meals but he did very kindly order us a take away of are choice. The rooms are very clean and ideal for what we needed. The breakfast... More

Whilst not at the level of a hotel chain such as a Hilton or Holiday Inn what you do get is personal and friendly service from Paul and his staff which more than makes up for its minor shortcomings. I would certainly recommend CBH to anybody who likes that personal touch and staff willing to put themselves out whatevr the... More

We stayed because it was very close to our daughter and son-in-law's (small) flat. The building is old and looks a bit tired, and for anyone with walking problems, there were quite a few changes in levels and stairs. The advertised free wi-fi just wouldn't work in our room, and the staff could only suggest trying in one of the... More

I stayed in this hotel with a colleague during the snowy weather. It was extremely convenient for work and the town centre. The hotel was very warm and cosy. The room I had was a little on the dark side and the furnishings a bit dated. There was an area of the carpet burnt in the shape of an iron.... More

The Staff Mary and Gio made me feel right at home while I stayed at the hotel. There was free Wi-Fi, fantastic made to order breakfast and a lovely room overlooking the garden. I would absolutely recommend staying here for either business or pleasure.

I used the Copper Beeches on spec and without reading any reviews ahead of time. Just rocked up and checked it out. It is 2 x Edwardian Buildings, joined together in a fairly suburban environment not far from town. My first re-action was the gentlemen who runs the place offering me a cup of tea while I waited for a... More

The Positive: As I was to be at a meeting the following day in the town centre I was pleasantly surprised to find it was only a ten minute or so stroll away which gave me plenty of time to enjoy my full english breakfast. (some places I have stayed in offer only continental or its not included in the... More
