We stayed here recently and I have to say that we were made most welcome. It's only the second time we've visited Milton Keynes, but I can honestly say that when we return (which will be soon) we will definitely be looking to stay here. Very affordable, comfortable and welcoming combined with a fantastic breakfast, what more could I ask... more
I stayed at the Stratfords Guesthouse in Milton Keynes for 3 nights over a weekend in September. I cant express enough how lovely the room and thank you for making me feel so welcome. The showers didn't work, toilet would only flush every 15 minutes, the door was left wide open after it was cleaned whilst we were out, hot water was intermittent, landlady had screaming row with family member using foul language outside our room, bed was extremely hard and very uncomfortable, pillows like a bag filled with hay, Breakfast was good though. more
It's no excuse but at the time the family running the guesthouse were having severe personal problems. It happens in even the best regulated establishments and homes, doesn't it? Since then the Guesthouse has received many, many positive reviews and it would be a good idea to visit the website where just some of a large number of excellent reviews...
