The Different Drummer has the potential to be charming, in an old building in the fairly scenic high street of the village. However in just one night we encountered several problems. The Different Drummer is a boutique hotel which is situated in the heart of Stony Stratford. The owners are very helpful the staff were good, the rooms were lovely and it we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also ate at the Italian restaurant and the food was superb. more
I have stayed here on and off now for 6 months while working in Milton Keynes. So far it is the only hotel in the area I have managed to put up with for more than a few weeks at a time. The rooms are very nice provided you avoid the annex part which is a little shabby but if... more
We recently stayed at this hotel and would foreward anyone interested to take extreme care..... We were given rooms in the 'annexe' - please read, staff quarters over the road above a shop - mouldy, old and very worn...and only £ 65 a night !!! I have travelled a lot on business a this really is the worse hotel I... more
Excelent Italian food at this restaurant. Stayed at another hotel (our mistake) but had an excelent dinner at the Al Tamborista. Next time we are in Stony Stratford we plan to stay at the Different Drummer and again enjoy the food in this great restaurant. more
