This b and b comes with free entry to the castle. The room was spacious very clean and comfortable. The castle closes at about 5, and for the rest of the night you have free roam of the grounds. When we were there we only had 1 other couple staying so we did not see anyone all night. There was... More

We came here to spend a couple of days for our first anniversary as my wife loves castles etc and what an experience, we arrived at the reception and one of the security staff escorted us to our accom Courtyard 14 and explained in detail to us where envy thing was. We then went for a walk in what seemed... More

Not exactly cheap but soo much worth it! During your stay you have access to the castle grounds. Ideal with children. You can access the maze before the masses of tourists arrive. Breakfast (English) in a magnificent hall with view on the castle. We stayed 2 nights / family of 5. Children (14-13-10) had one room and we had the... More

We only spent one night here but would have liked to have stayed longer if we could. The rooms are lovely and big, comfortable with a bath as well as separate shower in the bathroom. The radiators really belt out heat so we had them turned really low. And of course the surrounding grounds are wonderful. It was so good... More

Would definitely recommend this accommodation. It is a bit pricey but includes the visit to the lovely castle and grounds. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and the breakfast in the Fairfax Restaurant included everything you could want, well cooked English breakfast, pastries, fruit etc. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The views from our room and restaurant... More

This is a stunning place to stay. You can visit the castle's grounds upon you stay and take some lovely photographs. We had a relaxing time here even in the Winter seasons. I love the English Heritage sites and the history that goes with these sites.

My husband and I booked three nights at the Stable Courtyard. Our room was absolutely lovely. Very clean and tidy, huge bed, lovely bedding (so comfortable), sofa, TV, tea, coffee and biscuits which were topped up every day. Entrance to the castle was included in the price of our stay, so we went twice. Also taking in the maze and... More

The stable courtyards have been turned into rooms where you could enjoy the peace and quiet of the Kent countryside. Arriving after sunset, we were treated to an excellent night time view of the castle, brightly illuminated and with an eerie spooky mist above the moat. The rooms were pleasantly decorated, with a small LCD TV on the wall, tea/coffee... More

I came here for two nights in February with my (now) fiancee; the whole thing was perfect. I can't recommend it enough - beautiful surroundings, really good room - all in all couldn't be better. The one thing that really stood out was that we had access to the entire castle grounds before and after-hours, so we had lots of... More

Booked with an amex card through the hotel website (which uses booking.com). Received an email saying booking confirmed. Received a second email saying hotel doesn't take amex after all , no apology, booking not confirmed. Tried to contact hotel, no reply, booked elsewhere. Tried to cancel but told by Booking.com that I was liable for the whole cost of the... More
