A strange one this.

An old-worlde hotel that has been converted into a Premier Lodge. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it doesn't quite work.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable enough, with the standard 6ft (extremely comfortable) Premier Lodge Bed and decor.

However, the building lacks double-glazing which makes for a noisy night by a main road. In addition, the bathrooms have suffered badly from the conversion. The old baths have been retained with an antiquated over-the-bath shower with virtually no water pressure. I mean.. just a trickle!!; I even had a probelm getting wet despite moving about vigorously in an attempt to shower!

The adjacent pub/restaurant has some excellent and good value meals on its menu.

This one is absolutely miles from the town centre, so only worth staying at if you have your own transport or can afford an expensive taxi.

An ok place to stay, but could be a lot better.
