An overnight business trip, so not looking for luxury or a romantic getaway. The Village is clean, modern and functional. Don't expect luxuries and you won't be disappointed. Bedrooms are well appointed. Free wi Fi access is a real bonus for an otherwise simple hotel. Unlike one previous review, I found the bar atmosphere one of the hotel's good points... more

I think I more or less have to agree with the sentiments of Trendy below. We too came for a weekend of freedom and the Village delivered. It was clean, reasonably priced, provided the basics but lacked anything extra. No toiletries in the bathroom, but we brought our own, so no problem there. Room was clean and comfortable without being... more

What a disappointment, I should have taken more notice of some of the reviews. Room wasn't particularly well appointed and wasn't very clean. Dust and cobwebs very visible and towels not of a quality I would expect. No toiletries of any description in the bathroom. Front desk staff distinctly un-interested. Breakfast just about made an average, I've certainly had much... more

A modern hotel with reasonable sized rooms and good facilities. The room I stayed in was adequate with a good range of tv channels, plenty furniture and a good bathroom. Most of the room was clean but there were stains and marks on the higher parts of the ceilings and dust in the drawers etc. The bar and restaurant had... more

I stayed at the Village Maidstone as I have done on several occasions in the past. The room was very hot with no airconditioning and not cleaned very well. Although i got a great rate i felt the service was not as good as previous stays. I visited the swimming pool on three occasions and twice the leisure reception told... more

The hotel was clean, food was good and staff were excellent!! It was well located as we had gone to 'explore' Kent and the surrounding area and had easy access to get to Canterbury, Hastings, Tunbridge Wells etc. Maybe slightly overpriced for what you get, but we did use the pool/sauna etc and they were fab!! more

This is a good hotel for the money you pay. Gym is great but the pool is better. Rooms are small but well decorated & very clean. Resturant is good, bar gets abit over populated by locals but its not bad. Breakfast is also good. Staff are helpful & it has free wifi throughout the hotel more

Lets start with the good points, there was plenty of car parking space and the room was clean and the fitness facilities were good should you choose to use them. The bar area was not conclusive to a relaxing atmosphere due to overly loud sports programes on the telivision. The rooms were also not very well constructed as we could... more

Had already stayed in April and it was ok - ate in the restaurant on Saturday night - service very slow but food, when it came ok. As was breakfast on Sunday. Rooms as you would expect for such a hotel - standard design and decor. When we stayed in August again ate in restaurant on Saturday but were seated... more
