I stayed here for only one night with my mum as we had to be in the town to drop off my daughter. It was a last minute booking and I am glad I choose here. ( It was good value too ) We had a superior room with two single beds which was on the first floor of the... more

We wanted to arrange a small scale wedding in Watford where we could go onto the football and return for the evening meal, the registry office sited in an industrial area and in need of a coat of paint did not meet our requirements,so we returned home a little disappointed but did a google for hotels in Watford and up... more

Stayed at the Best Western Watford in early January as a result of a meeting in Watford Town Centre. I chose the hotel due to its proximity to the centre of Watford, a main benefit of the hotel. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to the High Street and 10 to Watford High Street station. As previously described in... more

The hotel is located near the center of Watford but except a shopping mall and a few bistros in the main street, there's nothing to do. You might reconsider staying in Londen. The check in and front desk was as expected when I checked in but it was not permanently fully staffed. I noticed that others had to wait a... more

I stayed here on a business and, after reading other reviews wasn't looking forward to my trip - especially as someone else had made the booking. That said, my room was OK... it was clean, fairly big, the bed was comfortable and there were tea & coffee making facilities. The bathroom was also big but the shower was dreadful! ...... more

The other review that said comfortable in '70's way had it right. My room had cheap wood panelling and guinine 70's avocado green bathroom suite. It was however clean, tidy and reasonably sized (mind your head on the slopped ceiling) and I got WiFi (chargeble T Mobile or BT Openzone) at full speed even though I was on the 2nd... more

A whole bunch of us came over from the U.S. to attend a family function that was to take place in the banqueting hall of the White House Hotel, so it was arranged that we would all stay at the hotel as well. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. There was... more

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights over 2 weeks while working in Watford. As a Best Western it's independently owned which means it doesn't have the corporate feel of most hotels. It's about 10 - 15 mins walk from Watford Junction station so you might want to get a taxi if you have luggage. The reception and bar... more

I was looking for a hotel close to the Watford town centre with parking available on site. The White House Hotel was a fairly standard hotel, quite adequate for my needs, and the parking and location were good. I stayed for 4 nights in May 2005. There were significantly different room rates on the weekend and weekdays. I felt the... more
