This is not a purpose built Travelodge, having been part of 2 other chains in the past. So the rooms are huge by Travelodge standards, well equipped, with superb walk in showers. However it does have all the hallmarks of Travelodge service; a small wall heater (which wasn't enough to heat a very cold room but we borrowed a heater from reception and soon warmed up) - the aircon is disabled; the basic provision of soap (although the towels were better than most we find) and simple tea/coffee making. The Bar Cafe provided a more than adequate breakfast and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. It's 400 yards from Junction 9 on the M5 but you do need to take note of the website directions to find it. more
